Happy New Year!

Okay, I'm a little late...
First, I'd like to thank all my wonderful 2007 couples, I had a great time working with everyone and will be setting up a 'raves' page with some of the great feedback I've received from you!

My 2008 season begins March, so I'll be posting some personal stuff over the next couple of months. One of my favorite things about freelancing for the Democrat and Chronicle is that I get to do and see things I'd never know about otherwise. A few nights ago, I went to a New Year celebration for Burmese refugees (it's the year 2747 for them!), most of whom arrived in Rochester from detention camps in Burma/Myanmar.

Everyone was so happy to be there, and experience a little bit of home in a strange new place. The celebration was filled with colorful clothes, beaming faces and beautiful traditional music. Here are a couple of pictures from the event!
